    G'udday ambientgoat.
Yep, from S.A. Would be keen to check out a swapmeet. Do I keep an eye out under the meets & runs section of the website for the next one?

Good idea. I had thought of a cordless jig saw but would have been forever snapping blades on the various structural elements below the outer skin. A sabre saw would have been a much better option, I’ll invest in one if I have to re-visit the yard.

    Floor Pan

    Time for a quick update.

Fitted up the new passenger floor replacement panel. Glad I took the time to get the cut right, the replacement panel fits snug with minimal gap between the old and new.
My father fired up the oxy torch for the welding, around an hour later the floor is in.

In order to limit the heat distortion we welded small sections at a time. Eventually the entire floor panel has been joined by a continuous fusion weld throughout. Time to start work on replacing the inner sill.

Thanks Jennie, just had a look.
Wow, your car is immaculate, no wonder you enjoy driving it. Those side boxes in the interior are a nice touch.
