Could someone tell me what series of engine numbers you would expect to find on a HZ Sandman Van Built 5/78 ( 11QT..........?) Only 308 L31. cheers.

I would have leave you question for outers to answer but normally the casting build date on the block (witch is the clock looking figure and number and letters)would be dated about 6 to 12 weeks pior to the manufacture date .HK would be able to give you better info

If the engine number starts with 11 instead of just QT the block is from a Statesman not a HQ-WB.

Not WB either as they are WR or 11WT or 12WT

sounds about right . HK1837 will confirm.

Remember after Sept 1st 1978 engines changed to ZT prefix because the numbers ran out ! e.g QT999999. so QT96xxx in July 78 sounds good

Thanks for the info, Big resto ahead no motor or box, trying to replace with same build date.
