Looking forward to finding out what the problems are.
Well I've got a few possibles. I spoke to a mechanic at work - turns out that he was an engine builder for GMH in the 80's - and he had a listen to it, and said that because the 'tick, tick, tick wasn't there upon start up, it could be - but is very unlikely - oil pressure related.
But the 3 things that he could think of that it sounds like is either a lobe has been damaged/worn on the cam, the bottom of the lifters being worn or one (or more) pushrods with mushroomed ends.. :/
I'm gonna do some more investigating and see what I can find out But I'm making progress

You should have seen this when you had the rocker cover off. There would have been some rockers that had way more clearance than others. Plus a lobe gone will make it miss all the time.
