By the time GMH got around to building the LE HX was in production, so they had to remove the HJ firewall and fit a HX one. The bodies were all put together in late 1975 or thereabouts and sat around as bodies in white, which is a metal shell covered in some white preservative substance.
Even worse, the LE they possibly stole to use the tags and chassis on will have its firewall number promenently displayed on the finished car, not an easy thing to hide. Even if it was a stolen and recoved minus tags situation, and this rusty one donated its identity the finished product will be easy to spot as the firewall number will be wrong.
