Haha I dunno, but you'll be really annoyed when I tell you that the ute was exactly the same as the pics above! haha
The outer skin is mint, and the D/S inner is mint, but the P/S is showing a few signs that it could have some tin worm developing, so the whole cowel will come off to do it once and do it right

Haha Cheers brother There's lots of hard work ahead, but it'll be worth it in the long run :D 2 days and I had about 30% of the van stripped, tough going with the grinder and the wire wheel haha

Its update time again :P haha

I have been concentrating on the ute of late, because I sort of burnt two valves and the cam had a lobe worn off, so its getting a complete top end rebuild with decent cam, oversize valves, double valve springs etc.. :D But I've been slowly chipping away at bodywork on the van when I've had time, I'm still surprised at how straight it is for a 35yr old panelvan!

    Anyway, heres some pictures

    Cheers,
    Matt

Cheers mate Yeah, I'm surprised that its as good as it is, considering it sat idle outside since 1998 until I bought it!

Yeah, I hate the sunroof :/ I'm trying to source a good roof cut from a rooted van to fill it in, it'll be a big job, but it will be worth it in the long run

When you went back to metal, did you just spray with a pressure pack can? or what prep was done

    Cheers,
    Clinton

Umm, I just bare metaled it and then gave it a quick coat of pressure pack paint to stop surface rust. Its going to get all the small tight bits and inside sandblasted when its ready for to go for paint though
