    Thank you all I've now got some good ideas to work with. You tube was a good idea thanks Buck. I shall let you know the results with the last step being complete disassembly if it fails followed by lengthy periods of contemplation.

    If the paint comes off that easy it doesn't sound like a very good paint job. You might have to just note the bullet and do it properly now.

    You are right,that is the bottom line.just trying to pull the belt in for year or so but it is inevitable the outcome. In the mean time I'll have to be careful of driving through puddles in case the paint falls off

    Try a hair drier and see if it softens the sticker up.

    But as said earlier, your paint job may be lacking integrity.

    that video is a of a rubber stripping wheel. they work well. keep it moving or it will melt the paint

    I couldn't get the video to work. Just thought Blocker had blocked me. Will try and look tomorrow at work where the interweb works better.(lucky I'm the boss, nobody else would give me a job)

    This is by far the best way. These wheels work amazingly
