    Not a Sandman Ute?

    Howdy

Pretty sure my ute's not a Sandman but no harm in seeking some expert opinions I guess.

The GVM and the vehicle code indicate it's not a Sandman. I'm just a little confused by the VIN which seems to be at odds with the vehicle code. The 'N' in the vehicle code denotes 'Kingswood', whereas the 'M' in the VIN denotes 'Commercial Vehicle' not 'Kingswood' doesn't it? Shouldn't the VIN also have 'N'?

    My HZ ute details:

    GVM 2200kg,
    seating cap 2
    trim code 1954-63C
    VIN 8M80TJL4.....Z
    Vehicle Code HZ8WN80
    L31 M41 GU4
    Paint 567-30853
    door switches for interior light
    yellow needle GTS dash
    chrome scuff plates
    No other GTS bits
    floorshift

So it's SA built, 308, T400, 3.08, buckskin interior (think that's what 63C trim is).

Did all Kingswood utes come with the chrome b pillar strips? This ute doesn't have them although someone could've removed the lugs that they attach to I guess.

Any clarification you guys are able to provide is greatly appreciated.

I haven't checked to see if the tyre placard is still there and/or legible, this may also help from what I've read?

Definitely not, there were no Kingswood plated Sandmans in HZ. Everything you have quoted is eithr standard or optional on a HZ Kingswood ute. PM me the ID details and i'll check them out for you, something is amiss with the luxury level coding between the body plate and the VIN plate.

Kingswood utes had stainless behind and above the door glass.

Correction to my earlier post, had another look at id plates, both have 'N' on them, I'd mistakenly though the said VIN 8M80TJL4.....Z but it actually states VIN 8N80TJL4.....Z. Thanks HK1837 for your help tho.

The b pillar pins have been removed or it has had new quarter panels on it.

Pity about the b pillar pins, will have to put some on myself now as I have the moulds and they look great on these utes I reckon!
