Think they only made vans and wagons in tassie dont quote me on that
Arthur haywood was the man the the conversion
When I lived in yunta sa 1995 to 2003 a local there had an original 4x4 ute and he bought it new, he said to me it was built in tassi but he may have been mistaken
It might have been built there not to sure on the utes
Arthur Haywood's Overland Motor Company Pty Ltd of Tasmania built approximately 120 Overlanders over 14 years.
Made up of Ute's, Van's and later Wagons.
And Statesmans and cab-chassis. As above the early ones (HJ and HX) were all utes and vans, although he did build them in the 80's out of secondhand HQ-HX wagons and Statesmans too.
First one was a ute. Here it is during testing in the desert.
