Please forgive my ignorance but I have always belived sandmans only came out with 4 speeds? Is this incorrect? Did they have an option of auto? Please advise

    M21 4 Speed

All manual transmissions in HQ-WB are aussie 3 or 4spds other that the MC7 (US M20) Muncie in HQ GTS350 coupe and XW8 Kingswood sedan. All autos on them are HQ-HZ: Trimatic and TH400, HZ: Trimatic, TH350 or TH400 and WB: TH350 or Trimatic.

I'll just qualify that, Right Hand Drive and local (ie sold new in Aussie) HQ-WB. Some of the CKD and SUP HQ-WB had some funny boxes in them, like the 3spd Saginaw or 3spd T10 in LHD column shift cars, or the TH350 in 250ci 6cyl South African HJ or whatever the Mazda Rotary HJ and HX's had in them etc.

We know the M20 and M21 as Aussie four speeds naturally.
I added (Aussie) to the M22 listed because typically the M22 is a US made Muncie V8 4 Speed.
The M22 I referred to was the 6cyl Aussie 4 Speed.
