    HZ Restoration

Hi there, just trying to confirm My vans authenticity. Details are:
    HZ(8WM70)
    ENG. L31
    TRANS. M21 AXLE. GV4. Power steering (N40) Aircon (C60)
    CHASSIS No. BHZ204255
    BUILT. 5/78 PAGEWOOD NSW.
    SEAT CAP. 2.
    GVW. 2000 kg.
    BODY.411589-A
    TRIM. 1937-63V
PAINT. 567-30528.Saddle Tan/Golden top. The sills and window surrounds are black as are the color coded mirrors. Does anyone know if this was a customer special order or infact did some sandmans roll out like this? Any further knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

It is an XX7 Sandman, would need to see the VIN to know if it is the right plate. Should be pretty close to being between 8M70THH953500Z and 8M70THH953600Z.
These all had blackouts around the windows, black windscreen moulds and door handles but mirrors were body colour.

Not sure what you mean by Golden top, 1937 is Saddle Tan all over.

Thanks for quick reply. The top half of the van is gold ; ie two tone paint job. The windscreen moulds and door handles are black as are the mirrors. I have posted photos in (My Album)
More to follow as the restoration begins. The VIN is 8M70THH954557Z.

Not original. It is definitely H954557 and not H953557? Hmmm. Nothing wrong, but not what I expected. It is actually a consecutive Elizabeth body number with H953538. Pagewood chassis and PSN normally track pretty close together, but not always and this is one of those not alway situations.

That is right, 3 x vans, a ute and also a Kingswood ute. Starting to become a relatively common colour compared to some of the others.
