I want to put a twin system in my 253 Hz ute, and I'm not to sure what size pipe I should go for? I want it to have a nice note to it, without being to loud. Basically I want it to sound like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5lKyAvdosU

Does that sandman have a 2.5 inch twin system in it?
I would say single 2.5. 253's sound like a chook or a pair of thongs if you don't use the right mufflers and balance pipe on a twin. A 2" twin is more than enough.
I was thinking 2.5 would be a bit to big haha
2" with a Lukey 2 in 2 out muffler. Extractors as well. Gives a good deep note. 2 in 2 out gives you the balance between the pipes. Don't use two mufflers. That sounds shit.
Thanks for the help
I have 2" twin system. It is extractors, full stainless pipes, no balancer and 2 separate sports mufflers. Sounds very cool but I can't tell you the brand of muffler and the pipes are custom as nobody makes them now.
this is a video i took pre resto on my wb ute, 253 pacemaker extractors, no balance pipe, 2 inch twin system with twin lukey mufflers, can be loud when pushed hard, but quiet at hwy speeds and driving round town if you dont put the boot into it. passed a rwc with this system, but was warned not to be flattening around town.
