Thanks for the kind words people, HK1837 mate that would be awesome, the car is in the panel shop ATM but I've got the tags here (and photos already on my phone) but to be honest with you I wasn't even aware there was a stamped # on the firewall, so where exactly is it and ill go to the panel shop tomorrow and have a look.
    Cheers

It's supposed to be cyan but I've lined it up with another car that is a genuine cyan Gts (mines not) and its a tiny bit different, also the white is not the glasier or what ever holden used, I just color matched the white from the wheels.

The HQ is a factory white 202 trimatic LS

When you compare 2 cars of the same colour they rarely match. From factory in would be slightly different depending if you got the top of the barrel or the last of the paint barrel . Silver mink was a good example , ive seen heated debates over whos car was the real silver mink!!

You can see the number in the photo with the child in the engine bay, just above the evaporater housing.

It is even worse when they were painted at the GMH plants where the front sheetmetal was painted in the assembly plant. Elizabeth did this, painted the body in the body plant, and the the front panels were painted at a different time and place. Shows up even more on vans and later on on tonners where the bodies were painted at Elizabeth and the front panels painted at Dandenong or Pagewood. A silver Mist HJ van or Deauville blue suffered terribly from this.
