gts rims

Hi all, is there a way to tell if gts rims are genuine and not repo or from a Pontiac etc. Isnt there some stamping on the outer rim or some where else on the rim? Thanks

Forgot to add are the centre caps and trims also identifiable to be genuine. Think the lion has a shorter tail in the early centre caps??

the early HQ 1971 72 and up to early 73? had the pontiac rim imported on them from factory. these normally have KU stamped near the valve.
these differ from the later ROH made ones by having a different offset by about 8 mm, a more rounded bead and a full seam welded inner to the outer band, the ROH were spot welded in lengths of about 7 inches.
The ROH ones are stamped 14 x 6JJ

some of the early Pontiac 14 x 6 rims are stamped JK, but i have only seen one and it was dated 1969

there were 4 different centre caps from HQ to HZ.. OZbox did a thread on it. try the search function

as for the trims, GTS rims had the Square edge ones, kingswood and Stateman had the round edge ones
