Inner guards

Hi,is there a difference between the HQ and the HZ inner guards,I am getting my guards ready for air conditioning and I salvaged the drivers side off the HZ and another passenger side I had under the house and there seems to be a difference, the one I think is a HQ has some buttons to hold on the dust shield but a lot of staples , where the HZ has just the buttons holding the dust shield,any thoughts?. Is that the only difference between HQ and HJ HZ which I believe are the same, what about HX what is the difference there?

I think the staple to rivet change happened during HJ. I can't remember what exact difference there is between HQ and HJ. HJ had canister holes from Jan '75 plus rear wheel lock control introduced so they have another hole (which HQ might not have) for the canister when it has to move to clear the lock control thingy which mounts in the canister's spot.
Of course there is all the holes for A/C on the pass side guards, not sure if these were simply drilled or punched. I'll check part numbers.

I can't image why you would remake inner guards. Surely these aren't thin on the ground? Nor would I think these would be a big seller.
