Looks like a pretty good thing, depending upon what it goes for. Would make a great donor body for a rusty 308 Elizabeth bodied 1975 Sandman van. Lots of good parts to use and bits to onsell to get $ back too.

Bulk work of rust and panel work is a $$ saver......doesnt mention if the chassis numbers match though. I guess any keen people will find out for themselves

given the same van is on gumtree for 12,500 I don't think we're near the reserve yet.

I still reckon, given it is only a 253 (which is not with it) and the ADR tag is damaged it wouldn't be worth spending too much on to finish. But if you had say a complete but very rusty, all matching black L31 M41 or M21 Elizabeth bodied HJ Sandman van it'd make a great donor. Even at close to $10k if the body is as good and well done as it appears it may be worth it. Just add up the value in the body and work done plus a good driver's door and bonnet. And then what you could get for the 9", HZ U17 dash, guards, quad nose. Not to mention what someone may pay for the chassis. This is before you think about the time saved not having to fix up another shell.

You'd want to be getting some progress photos before you're going to fork that money for a body in hi-fill.
