Ok latest bit of work. Learning so much as I remove, bag and tag all these bits. When it comes to re assembly I know it will be a huge task no matter how well I have prepared myself. But that's the point isn't it.
Took me several hours to work out exactly how to tackle the pull down of the front end. Although I learnt how not to do it.. if I did it again with what I know now I reckon I would still have problems haha.
Now I just need to tear down the diff and rear end parts and I'll be ready to get some blasting, welding and painting done.
Your a mile ahead of those who choose not to bag and tag

Thats what genuine GMH parts books are for. I would have been lost (almost) without my HJ parts book to see how stuff went back together. The big stuff is easy but when you get into the tiny bits a parts book can tell you a whole bunch of stuff you thought you knew...but didn't...or forgot. Its been 18 months since I pulled the van apart and my attention span aint that long.:lol:
Yes I agee. Parts books are priceless.

just a tip if you are going to remove the diff first before the springs..unbolt the bump stops..it gives you plenty of room for pulling it thru...
