Yea mate I know what you mean. It's all new to me so every step is something that I learn.

I don't have much to update at the moment because I'm only cleaning, priming and painting parts. I thought I had all my pieces properly catalogued but today discovered I have lost a pair of upper tailgate hinges :(

Panel beaters usally want panels on so they can get the gaps right as they do the repairs. If the gaps don't line up it might point to a twisted/damaged chassis or body and it's easier to make repairs then rather than after it's painted.

Some things just need that little bit extra that go beyond originality.

I hope you've had that set up properly for a 253 (vac brake, correct metering rods etc) Blocker? An 850 cfm carbie on a 253 doesn't always work all that well.

    Regards,

    Dave.

Yes definitely! Anyone wanting to put a quaddie into a 253 needs to get it set up for suitability - Rodney did this as well.

Unless they just get one off a blue 253 and leave it as standard. WB really were way ahead of HQ-HZ lol!!

Thought I'd ask as they can get a little "boggy" when the secondaries open if they haven't been properly adjusted/set-up (secondaries open too quickly otherwise and airspeed through the carby slows down).

    Nice one!
