no door speakers. They had a speaker under the dash if the AM radio was optioned.

yes i know about the speaker under the dash as i have just bought an original am radio and all the bits to make the dash right but i need to find a speaker that will fit so i can then put all the dash back together but like every thing i can not do anything to i find that speaker the first piece of the jigsaw

Yeah that jigsaw is frustrating at times! I think a lot of people are just fitting the am radio but are putting a decent stereo somewhere like in the glovebox. Then put speakers somewhere creative. Very hard to put speakers anywhere but in the door of a ute I know.

Can someone please tell me what this section is.. more particularly why is it so poorly machined I thought it would be better than this from an engineering perspective.
Rodney thinks it wouldn't need to be tidy, its just an opening in the valley so that oil could be caught and run down the drive of the distributor on the cam...

yep they are all like that Blocker.

You head looks interesting.... Good time for a rebuild I think! I gather you will pay someone to do them for you so they will check for cracking etc. But looks like water in there at some stage..
