if your going to have factory air the left engine mount is wrong and why did you paint them red ? If you are using the factory compressor there is a support bar that goes from the engine mount to the compressor and the mount (the steel one not the rubber one ) should have a bracket on it . I will take some photos of my air cond set up (vintage air) this weekend with a bit of info too .

These are spare overspray mounts, so I ended up spraying them completely, or my boys did.

Ahh yes please the a/c mount bracket I forgot about that.
So where can I source the correct engine mount and bracket please?

Yes this has a/c and power steer.

for the engine mount its just a piece of angle iron welded to the mount with a hole drilled in it, i have one on the 253 i got from mook but im not sure if goat wants it ,if not you can have it. and as for the support bar any WB statesman should have one. do you need a factory compressor too ?

I'll get you photos of my Prem. All that stuff is totally original so it'll give you some reference. The hardest bits to find are the HQ/J vacuum operated heater switch and a HJ air cleaner. You can get a HX/Z vacuum switch new from Rares but plumbing is a bit different, but since you've got an aftermarket valley and blue Quaddy that shouldn't bother you that much. Now this stuff is almost 40 years old it is all getting to be a pain to find. If you come to Newcastle at some stage, between my shed and Oz's yard most of the bits should be around. Have you got a factory air inner guard, harness and all the fiddly bits?

    Cheers Glacier!

Had a couple hours to kill so went to a wrecker and looked for some a/c brackets.
Luckily I also found a Frigidaire compressor attached to the brackets so picked it up. After getting calling the RAA to help get my keys out of the car (yea I locked them in the boot!)

I got home to give the brackets a test fitment.

So what I need to know from the experts is what should I do with the bolts and brackets?

Clean, polish and paint them black?

    Buy new ones from Rares?

    Get them plated?

    Leave them as is?

They are, but its also easy to get them cad plated. Did you get the bracket that goes down to the engine mount and the mount itself?
