I was lucky, supercheap had a sale on 2x 3000kg stands for $20.00 so I bought 2 sets and went down Westys and bought some steel. I will get some pics of the back setup and post them shortly. They are very stable, I spent 5 days under these at Easter and never once feared for my life.
Although my arms and shoulders suffered
Oh was also lucky with the engine crane that was also on special for $195

This was my Easter, laying on my back, squatting, sitting, laying on a garage creeper with 2 milk crates WIRE WHEELING. 1 grinder with a wire wheel, 1 grinder with a wire cup, 1 drill with a compact wire bruch for tight area and a hand wire brush.
I dont know how many pieces of wire I pulled out of myself flicking off the wheel, they go into your skin so far. Not to mention the DIRT evey night the shower run like MUD with the gunk coming off me. Probably one of the wort jobs I have ever done .....and I have done a few. Probably the only thing keeping me going was a guy we knew who layed on his back for a week under his Brock commodore with a 1" paint brush, a tooth brush and a jar of soapy water cleaning the underside of the car.
I dont think im EVER doing to drive this in the rain after all that work

Love your work mate. Keen to see the rear stand set up.
I know what your saying about the wire flying out,you don't even know their stuck in your arms legs and various other parts until you finish.surprising how far they are embedded in your flesh the worst are the bent ones they are hard to pull out.good effort doing that underneath my back would kill me ,thats why i built a rotisserie .
