    After the cavity wax it was time for the final assembly



    All the door holes covered





    other bits can now be put on like the door vents

    installed the dash pad




    After all the door mechanisms were grease up and working smoothly the new doors trims and hard ware were put on

    I picked it up on the 16th Of December last year so 11 months on it so far. Would have been well done if it wasn't at the spray painters for 2 months. Was a mate who sprayed it so it was a low priority job compared to customers who were paying full knock

    wanted to get the back access panels out of the workshop so I installed them. I also stuffed polyester insulation bats into the rear access panels to cut down on road noise a bit






    The rear is the factory colour or as close as you can get now Vinyacote grey

    That is not a bad timeframe. I started 10 years ago but kind of lost the priority for a while. I am also the same with having mates in the industry but it is hard to secure their time since insurance work takes priority and its a bit cut throat these days. You need to pump out volume to earn a decent living.

    I plan to do the same as you with the rear. I will note down "vinyacote" grey as i was going to ask on here what was the paint code for the rear. Also is the rear in 2 pac without clear?

    Are you worried about the batts holding moisture?? Leading to rust.
