Good on you, more chrome the better!! besides its rare to see a van with out a chrome air cleaner or some other non factory chrome.

Supose im going to get a bad wrap as im going to do the back out mildly. Im putting a removable MDF with carpet floor, perhaps some side inserts and maybe some side bins..? dont know yet.

These will all be removable and where fixings are needed industrial self adhesive double sided velcro. Cant drill holes after I spent so much time filling them in.

The main reason for doing the back is to try to keep it a bit quite, as people know driving a van with noithing in the back is soooo noisy

Of course you do the back up! You don't have to turn it into a hotel bar or make it impractical, but some nice side panels that can be easily removed with foam insulation behind them will quieten it down heaps. My wife hated the drumming and didn't like taking the van anywhere, but since I've done the interior it's almost as quiet as a car and the van is now 1st choice for most trips.

Build it the way YOU want it (like the engine bay), as you are the one that has to live with it every day.

You're doing a great job, keep it up.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
