sandman decals

Hey guys I want to know how do I tell what sandman had decals from factory or not. I have been told that not all sandmans had decals. Cheers

Hi Matt. Can you clarify a little please?

You could order a Sandman without decals and they would not be put on by the dealer or not supplied when you ordered it without decals.

I could be very wrong. But wasn't all HX/HZ ones dealer fitted? Or something simular.

But there is NO way to tell from id tags if it had decals or not. Or even what colour decals it had. This can only be told by paint colour. And this isn't always as it was original. Its only what GMH recommended.

HQ-HJ are dealer fitted.
HX-HZ factory fitted. But you could option to delete them from the Sandman package as an extra charge.

Thanks guys. So basically they were just an optional extra at new? Because mine has original paint but no decals

The Sandman option was a complete option package including stripes. But you could option not to have the stripes if you paid extra.
Some people thought the stripes were "over the top" and didn't want them on their Sandman, so Holden allowed you to pay them extra not to fit them (like that makes sense) but it was how it was done.

That's what I needed to know thanks innuendo. I think ill pit strips on my Aquarius van will look good. Just to confirm does mine have the dark purple decals?
