Panama Green HZ Sandman van CHZ59615A

Very rusty old bugger, but has two major WOW factors (in terms of rarity for me anyway), a genuine L32 M40 GU4 HZ XX7, and the only 1931 coloured Sandman i've yet to record off the A632 colour chart (11/78 onwards). This means only 5 x available coloured Sandmans left to go off A632: 1945, 1948, 1949, 1953 and 1959.

Very late in terms of HZ Sandman too, being 7/79.

Way overpriced for the body's condition though.

Did you tell him where to look for it?

It is located on the drivers side rail next to the steering box - he'll probably need a rag to clean off the road grime to find it.

Being at Huntfield Heights (fancy name for Hackham) it is on the other side of town for me to check it out.

I agree though overpriced for the amount of rust and other work required.

Plus it is only a 253 and the auto will turn many future buyers off. Very interesting historically for me (like 6cyl Sandmans are) but not a boner car for most enthusiasts.

I misunderstood the chassis number question too, thought you wanted to know what it was, not that it is actually on the van's rails!

You both seem to be missing the fact that it's green and thus worth twice as much

    Blocker
Did a copy and paste from the website and tried over the phone
Yea sorry meant the chassis rail number
I believe it is only worth it when everything matches as who know where the tags come from?
