save your money about $200 to have standard manifolds ceramic coated and unless you 308 is modified quite a bit you wont notice any difference in power by bolting on extractors. i would be spending money on balancing and roller rockers

Yeah might have to look into that instead of extractors by the time you do a full exhaust system it will soon add up
this resto is already starting to get out of hand and i havnt even started yet
I've got a blower on mine and the pacemakers are fantastic. I truly believe if you are going to the trouble of balancing, roller rockers and the like ( I would hope you are also putting oversized valves in your heads and cleaning up intake and exhaust ports) you would be only doing half the job without extractors. Old saying " get the air in get the gas out"
they always do, whatever you think it will cost just add another 15 grand but like i always say learn to do things yourself and dont always buy new parts off the shelf just because it is the easy option,it is cheaper to have all your bolts, clips etc replated than it is to buy new ones .spend the money you save on good body and paint. Dont just pull all your door rubbers off and throw them in the bin just because you want everything new, have a look at them and if they are in good cond clean them and re use them. there are a lot of good products out there to help you restore things back to new.I have just restored a HQ grille i bought at a swap meet, total cost was about $100 and 4 hours of my time but i could have just gone to rares and bought a new one for about $350.I have nearly finished my HQ coupe and when i have i will make a list of some of the great products i have used and believe it or not one of them was household vinegar for cleaning things .
Well I have been picking up a few new old stock parts over the last couple of years like both doors rubbers drag link mudflaps tailgate handle the list goes on and on but i know im looking at 10k just to get it off the ground
i am going to do most of this myself to save cost but if you need parts thats what it cost
and raeme my 308 has already got l 34 spec heads big cam and few other goodies but motor will have to be stripped and rebuilt again been sittin a long time thank god the gearbox and diff are all in god cond quick paint job and in they go
Pacemakers from Chris Mills in WA.

Tuned Length 4 into 1, Mandrel Bend = no kinks at curves.
Rod from MPH in Wollongong makes these which are better than the el-cheapo generics.

Tri-Y's with bolt up flange.
Always ask about head plate thickness, pipe wall thickness and tube sizes from primary to end.
Are they Mandrel Bend or Crush Bend? Heaps to compare on ebay.
If it were me, I'd fling the cast iron manifolds and really be heading for Pacemaker or Genies.
That said, I purchased a set of MPH extractors from Rod for my 308 powered HG (Tri-Y's) and they are good value.
No point having something cammed up with bigger valves and port work to have restricted with standard exhaust manifolds.
If nothing else the exhaust note is an improvement over standard.
