Help! HX Tonner Cab With Panelvan ID Plate ?

Hey guys,
I went and looked at a few kingswoods today and have a question!
There is a HX one tonner cab I'm interested in there next to a chassis which I believe it came off..
BUT the compliance plate clearly states it as a panel van and the plate matches the chassis ID also :/
I rang my local service tas and ran the ID plate number by them and it is on their system as a tonner / tray back ute..
Was this originally a panel van that has been chopped down and registered as a tonner? I don't see that being a possibly conversion though and personally why would you
Also will this cause me any grief when it came time to register it down the track?
Any help or info would be much appreciated ;)

Probably just a tonner cabin on a panel van chassis, and they've used the ID plates on teh tonenr cab. Probably not a Kingswood either.

If it was a van chassis then you've had some unknown person working on the chassis with a welder to fit those tonner specific pieces. Check out the chassis REALLY carefully. I reckon you're better off buying a complete car, not only to make rego easier but because then you have all those little bits that really add up when you have to buy them individually.
