    Chrome or stainless

Has anyone created a list of chrome and stainless parts for the HQ/HZ?

I think it it would be handy to have such a list, especially for noobs like me know which bucket I need to put things in.

They are all different from series to series, and remember HQ Belmont and HJ Holden Sandman are much less "blingy" than HQ-HJ Kingwood Sandman and HX-HZ Sandman. Also are you talking outside only, or inside as well? But, I tried to summarise (left out stainless around grilles):

HQ Belmont Sandman and HJ Holden Sandman:
Chrome: Bars, Mirror stalks, door handles, Belmont and Holden badges, top tailgate handle (van), bottom tailgate handle (ute and van - I think these are all chrome?), inside door handles.
    Stainless: Windscreen surrounds.

HQ-HJ Kingswood Sandman (over and above Belmont/Holden):
Chrome: Tail-light surrounds, scuff plates, Kingswood badges.
Stainless: Gutter moulds, moulds behind doors.

HX, as per HJ Kingswood Sandman except:
    Lose chrome mirror stalks.
Lose chrome door handles (painted black).
    Lose badges.
Lose raw stainless windscreen moulds (painted black).
Lose stainless gutter and behind door moulds.

    HZ, as per HX

Can't remember if Kingswood and hence HX-HZ got chrome door lock knobs or not.

Can anybody help me with the method of painting the chrome door handle black to suit the HZ Sandman or do I have to look out for a set of black handles...and my door lock knobs were black on my HZ Sandman when I picked it up from the dealer, but I did put a chrome set on. Cheers.

My HJ ute is a Kingswood and has chrome door lock knobs, but that's no indication whether they were original or not. (Look good though!)

The only other Chrome or stainless thing might be the aerial, either guard mounted or centre-roof, and the grille surround is stainless.

Was the interior light chrome or black standard?

Hehehe. Mine was silver but from what I've seen the silver ones were painted over raw (bone coloured) plastic. Not sure if the black ones were similarly treated.

The black ones I have are moulded in black, the chrome ones are painted (plated?) over the raw. So were both colours used in a Sandman? Or did it depend on the headliner colour? Or were they used in different models or years?
    Interesting.....

Talking Ute's and Van's you have two part numbers for Bone
2807099 Bone Holden Ute and Van
    2806962 Bone Kingswood Ute

    Black isn't listed until HZ.
