    4.5 backspacing

Im looking at getting a set of alloy rallye 2 wheels out of the states in 17x8 with 4.75 holes and a 4.5 inch backspacing. Would these fit on my HZ wagon on the front and back.

    should be ok.
may be better to go 17 x 7 up front with 3.5 back space though

I'd be curious on the landed price too. I'd love a set of the 17 inch Honeycombs for my GTS.

Never paid much attention to wheel PCD/offsets/backspacing at tech almost 30 years ago... Can probably guess the answer to this already, but looking at the availablity of 17 inch performance tyres (ie; 235/40/17 etc being easier to come by everywhere these days) what sort of backspace would you reckon on the 17x8's if I was to look at same size tyres/rims all round? Do you reckon the fronts would foul the guards - or what sort of backspace would work on the front but also keep the back tyres under the guards? Wouldn't the sidewalls of the 235's be working too hard on the 17x7's?

Anyone in for a bulk shipment buy?

    Dave.

How can they have commodore stud pattern if they're genuine HQ centres?
