    GV Axles explained

    Can someone please explain and the different axles available in the sandman range ?

    Which series model range are you talking about? V8 had Salisbury, 6cyl had banjo unless HD diff selected (which was a Salisbury).

    All eg GV7 is 3.55 Salisbury GV 4 is ??

    In HJ-HZ GV7 is 3.55, GV4 is 3.36 - banjo or salisbury.

    So in this current car the tag reads GV 4 and on a 308 it would be Salisbury

    Also if it was a 6cyl with heavy duty diff option or any 1-tonner it'd be a Salisbury.

    Do the one tonner diffs fit in vans or are they different widths

    Same diffs I think but the yokes are different to take a HD tailshaft and unis.

    Same diff as Mauser says, just a bigger uni joint. Same uni joint as 350 HQ's too.
