Forum is double posting

A few people have reported that the forums are double posting messages so I would like to help in fixing this problem.

I need to know the circumstances of the incident.

1. Is it only while using the Quick Reply box at the bottom of the thread?
2. Is it occurring when using the Advanced Reply?
3. What Internet browser are you using when it happens?

I have noticed it with the Quick Reply.
I use Opera as the browser.

Sometimes the forum buttons just become unresponsive.

I have seen a couple instances happen to some people over the past week.

Haven't been able to track it down, but need to ask;

After hitting the Post icon, does the forum seem to hang and you have to hit the post button again to work?

Old people think that if you keep clicking the buttons it will make it go faster... I remember the first 486 with wolfenstine 3D on floppy disk. That computer had a turbo button too!

I just had a double post, all I did was hit the "Post Quick Reply" button once. It seemed to hang, and then double posted.

My experience is the same as Robbos.

I have disabled the Double Post script that checks for double messages within 3 minutes of each other.

We'll see if the problem continues or gets worse.

FWIW, I browse using an I-device and I don't recall seeing any of my posts doubled up. Most of the time I check that it's been posted.
