    This may be a stupid question,But why travel with the tailgate up?Cooling for the interior??Thought it might be a bit fumey.

    ps the guy we brought our van off said he put the pipes out both sides behind the wheels becouse it was fumey at times

    back in the 70s and early 80s we drove around with the gates up all the time for 2 reasons..
    one was so all the chickies in the back could see out and all our mates could see in and see that we had a van load of hotties...:Hair:
    two was so you could suck down the pure real leaded fuels with no carcinogins like today...and to look cool and to hear the exhaust note better..:knockout:.[carcinogins is probably spelt wrong]..
