super cool!
What is interesting to me is the price the package of XX7 options put on a base model van.

Also proof that DL7 is a more highly priced option than getting the stripes! $60 more! Always said DL7 was better!
You can see whay there weren't many TH400 examples made. On top of the 308 you had to fork out another $448 for the TH400, nearly 10% of the base price. Same with C60, like 12.5%.
Wow, pay to get rid of the stripes! The only thing that make a Sandman look like a Sandman.
Yes, some seen them as gordy. But seriously pay to not have them?
It would be one thing "if" somebody actually had to remove them. But if they were never fitted....
Maybe DL7 option offered up something else as well for the $60.00?

Yup, rip for sure.
Don't know why this forum is sometimes double posting even when the button is hit only once?
Seen a bit of it lately.

I agree, stupid to have to pay $60 to delete the stripes, that was a lot of money in those days. There were planty made though. DL7 was simply a code to not have stripes fitted, nothing else.
Double posting seems to happen on my PC with later versions of Windows and Explorer on it - it asks if I want to leave the page and then double posts. The old XP machine doesn't do it.
Only the options are priced. You can see only the things that weren't part of the Sandman package have a cost next to them, like L31, M41, A02. The Sandman package has an option cost on it, but its components don't like D14, XS6, M11, QEU, N66, B30 etc. How the list is presented is really how they built them, this is basically how it all appears on the Broadcast Sheet for the car, just shown in a slightly different format. The most interesting thing for me is it gives further proof metallic paint had an optional cost, as I suspected it should on early HZ Sandman, where on later Sandman (colour chart A632 11/78) it became a non-cost option.

Why would they give out a DL7 as a press review vehicle? You'd think they would want it to be identifiable as a Sandman in case it's used for photos.
