    Nick's Garage cruise Sunday 27/1/2013

A mate of a mate organised this little baby cruise last night through the northern streets of Perth. 45kms. There were way too many Fords but still a reasonable run! Pack was splintered majorly after the first set of lights. No re-group stops so it was a bit like every man for himself.

My mate owns the gold HX Kinga. Inherited from his late father (owned from new). Was a 6cyl 3-speed now a massively worked 308 with beefy Trimatic and 9 inch. Does a wicked skid and goes very very hard!

Just in case you found this odd calling a beautiful HK-T-G Ute a "Boat Anchor". Let me make it 100% clear.
In the Eastern States (I assumed it was common knowledge) all HK-T-G series are affectionately called Boat Anchors as a term of endearment. Like saying I own a Munro Boat Anchor, or Boat Anchor Ute or Van etc. It came about when HQ-WB were all the rage and these owners would call HK-T-G models boat anchors because they were cheap and outdated.
As with a lot of derogatory terms Australians flipped it to mean something great.

As an owner of many boat anchors I happily accept and use the terminology. I accept some perhaps took this the wrong way, and I can assure you no disrespect was ever intended.

Always take a breath and ask a question if you are unsure what was meant.

its apparently an Audi silver. Silver mink is more brown and this one is more blue according to the owner. He purchased the car fully restored by a combo of Italian brothers. Poor bugger had just driven into something in front of him and torched the stone tray and bumper and then when he was backing off he hit something else and damaged the rear bumper.

I should of taken some more pics of the rear. it had some pretty serious sheet metal work to the back end to take a full bumper (yes it looked good).

Ill get some and post em up here. Keep an eye out. It is just as good in real life. Completely crazy performance. He smoked the doors of a tudor with a blower out the bonnet that was so big it was almost as high as the roof. Circa $100K tudor dusted by a kinga with an n/a 308 on pump gas

Thanks, I look foward to seeing them! Its great to see it with all the original features like badges, side moulds, mudflaps and hubcaps, thats the stuff that most people think looks crap and rip off! i would love to do something like this with my HX one day. Cheers Mark
