Don't remember it but oh, I need a cigarette after looking at that ute..... I like what he's done with rim of the steering wheel. HZ doesn't look right with a white needle dash or a GTS badge in the middle of the wheel etc, but hey - personal expression is what its all about!

You know you want it, don't listen to those voices saying panel van, those voices have issues with pure and raw beauty in its most ephemeral form...

When it is all said and done it is what looks like a turn key and cruise proposition, all the work done for you! I guarantee it would cost you more than that to start with a shell and build it unless you did 90% of it yourself.

    Regards,

    Dave.

haha ripper of a comment. ive had a hj van before and although my preference is a van. my wallet says no. utes seem to be abit cheaper, and espically when im not good at body work it rules out alot of the vans/utes on the market.
if anyone wants to recommend/post links id be more than happy to have a look. that hz ute on that auction site is a bit meh for me, espically for that price

Add up the parts and it makes financial sense. There's probably the asking price alone in panel, paint and stripes. Then you've got a $1000 front clip, a $700 dash, $800 in seats and door cards, $1000 worth of wheels and tyres. Not to mention the driveline.

Plus he's negotiable. Probably get it for $8500 if he's keen to sell.

If you can handle the colour buy it. If it is a good body the shell alone is worth $2000. Yes it is only a 253, but a good secondhand late 308 can be had for $1000 and will bolt straight up to the trimatic.

Factory air and steer too. But 7.5% buyer's premium? They can stick that up their proverbial!

How can you charge a Byers premium when it's not an auction? It's sold as a nearest offer.
