I don't have a problem with VE, just needs some mods:

Ute needs to be changed to a cab chassis with rear leaf springs so it can carry a load and tow.
Wagon needs a 6 seat option as Dick61 says.
    They need a coupe.
Get rid of the awful V6 and build a straight 6. Balance issues go away immediately.
Offer the HSV spec V8 engines as HBD products as per VT and VSIII.

Then they need to sell a direct competitor to a Hilux. They have come partway there with the Colarado but there is no petrol engine. Put the damn 6.0L LS2 and 6spd auto in there and they'll sell like hotcakes, but make it available across all luxury levels, not just on a top spec limited edition piece of cr@p that costs $70,000. Some people want the good engine but don't want all the stupid stripes, chrome bits, roll bars, side steps and all that useless junk you pull off and sell on Ebay.

    Commodore to continue beyond 2017:

I hope the local Falcon is still around.

Suprise, suprise. Seems to be a habit to scare the buying public every time and get some media publicity.

I can't understand why the government keeps giving Ford and Holden these handout packages. They should be giving them export tax breaks and encouraging them to get the commodore and Falcon into the US markets. I've spoken to a few yanks and Canadians who've driven our RWD v8's and turbo 6's and reckon they sh!t all over any of the similar domestic cars they have over there.
