That may just be a welch plug on the head or block. If one is leaking it may be that others are close to going too. Biggest downer is there are a few between the engine and box. You can run the risk and just fix those on the side and cross your fingers!

If it were a head gasket would that explain why it was running rough as guts?

Wow what a day! ambientgoat and I had a lot of good luck with the prem. we managed to pick up:
Bosch HEI distributor
Coil
Leads
Vacuum hoses
6 cylinder power steer pump brackets and spacers
Air cleaner

For 96 bucks!

Then the illusive panel van non locking fuel cap for 5!

What a day!
Goat showed me how to install a dissy and set up the timing.
The prem runs a treat now, Like a champ!

Next big thing is to get the radiator and the heater core looked at, got quoted $100 for a re solder, so we should be completely up and running this week!

Does anyone have a photo of how to neatly run the dissy leads?

Also does anyone know what the best colour matches are for pressure packs to reprint the air cleaner and the rocker cover,
Cheers guys!

Cheers glacier! Rocket red is the original holden colour? I remember reading that there was the correct colour straight out of the can? Vht maybe.. I'm sure HK or Absinth would know.

VHT Rocket Red and also look at VHT Chevy Orange, don't just go by the name on the can.

That's two different colours blocker. Well we are getting closer I suppose. Lol

Do you think that the rocket red colour is why people get confused and call them rocket covers?
