I've got a ted in my stubby holder right now Gene
That cider you had over here wasn't bad. I drink cider occasionally for something different.

Got a case of the Bare Coves in the fridge atm, dnt mind Tooheys Dry or the Blondies, have recently tried the Bulmer Cider on tap and its a good thirst quencher as well.
Now thats a nice drop blocker dont mind a jameson or seven myself
Beer? Nope. Can't stand the stuff....
However, since my early 20's (20 years ago...LOL), I have always been very partial to a decent red wine. A nice robust cab sauv or a decent shiraz will catch my eye even on a red hot day when everyone else is drinking beer.
I lived and worked on a cattle station in central Australia (place called Curtin Springs, about 80km east of Yulara/Ayers Rock resort) for a while in 2002/3 before I moved to Alice and developed a serious taste for this stuff while living and working there...

Interesting story. You could have heard a pin drop in the Curtin Springs bar that first night I drove in the front gate in the HJ (had just driven in from Alice), propped at the bar and Stevie (the owner's son) offered me a beer..... "No thanks mate", I politely declined. "Would you have a red wine back there at all?" I winked.... a blank look for about 5 seconds that desolved into a smile and then "an interesting" evening ensued. I now have life-long friends from that evening and I've prattled on here long enough.....
Regards
Dave.
