    rubber or no rubber in front bumper

    Seen some HZ sandman vans with rubber strip in front bumper and some without. Was this another factory option or just addition or removal by owner?

    HZ had rubber to my knowledge.

    HJ and HX didnt.

    the Bumper we took off our Red van yesterday didn't have rubber in it...nor did our original van in the 80's....maybe an option?

    The rubber bumper strip was available as an optional extra on HZ.

    No Rubber on my HZ. Most originals I have seen don't have the rubber. Optional extra.

    Bumper Insert

    Absinth is correct,they were optional.When I bought mine I was considering the insert,but was advised against it.

    Robbo, were you told a reason why it was inadvisable to get it?



    Some Sandmans were optioned with the rubber insert so if you really want one you can fit it and still be factory correct.
