NOS HQ/HJ sandman stickers on ebay

Just spotted these on ebay, there wouldnt be too many sets like this left anymore.. will be interesting to see what they go for

back in 2001 i sold a nos set to a panelshop that was restoring a ute...i got $695 back then....

the funny twist to it was i got talkin to one of the panelbeaters about sandmans and he told me his nephew had a hq sandman van...short story is i bought it but then needed stripes...:errf:

I would think a nearly 40 year old sticker would be a bit stuffed by now. Interesting but probably useless.

Something similar happened to me and my old man. He got about half a dozen NOS HQ-HJ sticker sets at a garage sale about 5 years ago. Sold a few on ebay and got good $$ for them. Had one set left 12 months ago and asked me if we would need them. I didn't think that we would and so he sold the last set. Needless to say we now have a HQ Sandman ute and no NOS stickers. IDIOT!!!:frown:

ya know,thats what ive always been told but i have come across a few people that have used nos stripes of various vintages with no problems...i know for a fact that the ones i sold went on ok and havent come off as i saw the car about a year ago when the owner came in to buy some parts..

a few years later i ended up buying a set cheap off ebay while all the other bidders were asleep....

Not to sure why people would pay big $$ for them when there are good repros out on the market that are only a couple of months old.

Biggest issue with old decals is that if they are stored rolled up they are probably not correct anymore and may have streached or shrunk. :confused:
