    Radial tuned suspension badge

I stripped off all the chrome, lights, ariel, window surrounds, bumpers, etc. ready for the soda blaster yesterday, and was wondering if anyone has successfully removed the radial tune suspension badge from the lower rear tailgate? I don't want to break it off, and not sure if I want it to be soda blasted.
    thanks

Rodney, the badge is attached the same as all the other Holden badges. It has two pins that push into the round keeper clips, you should be able to gently lever it off with a small screwdriver a little at a time from each side.

I normally spray a little CRC or lanolin spray around them so they slide out a little easier. If you can't get it off or don't want to attempt levering it off then cover it with a couple of layers of duct tape to protect it from the soda blasting.

Sorry Guys, I thought you were talking about the RTS badge on the Dash..

    Hi Guys

I just saw this, albeit a little late..

The RTS badge that is used in the HZ is also used in the UC Torana. There are two different types. One has pins, and this is used on the Premier dashes. The other has the pins removed and this is used on the GTS dash, as well as the UC Glove Box. These were just glued onto the dash with contact cement.

I am reproducing these and I am currently waiting for product samples. It was by luck that I decided to do these as the actual RTS plate is the same size as used in the LX RTS Glovebox Badge. Just a different type of mount. The new ones will come with the chrome edge as per the originals and should retail for around $20.

    cheers
    Mick

Ski man - of you would rather original, when we were in Brisbane last week buying door rubbers, and moulded carpets etc. from a place recomended by Absinth, the place was called Harrison's early spares, and they had a lot of bits and pieces including a radial tuned suspension badge for the rear tailgate, in a glass cabinet, his number is 0755490351 he is called Paul, you can just tell him a bloke and girl/woman from Parkes was in buying stuff for a 2 sandmans and he will now who we are, and help you....it shouldn't be too hard to post being small....
