    HX Body changes

I have a 76 HX Kingswood ute that has me a bit confused. My 6/77 Sandman Ute has the late type tailgate hinges and HX/HZ style filler neck, but the (from memory) 9/76 HX Kingswood has the HQ/HJ filler neck and HQ style tailgate hinges.
When did these pieces change or has the HX been reshelled with an HJ body? The tags and chassis match for an HX.

It will be a hj shell if it has a large square hole in the firewall for the main wiring harness. If its round then it is HX onwards.

Will also have holes for the HJ dipper switch, holes for attachment of the HJ rat-trap clutch setup as another few more checks if it is a HJ body or not.

9 /76 should have long hinges from what i can tell..

alot of hinges get cut with the grinder as the tailgate hinge screws are sometimes hard to remove with a screwdriver. sometimes a Impact driver is needed

Thanks Guys, the wiring harness hole is round, Ihaven't looked for the rat trap holes but there are no holes for the dipper switch on the floor. Looks like it's genuine HX with the earlier hinges and filler neck.
