    N67 vs GTS wheel nuts

Attached is a picture of a N67 wheel nut.

It looks a dead-ringer for the GTS type.
Are they the same (ie can I use them on GTS rims)?

looks like it can, check the pitch at the base of the nut and watch the rim when you tighten it up that it doesn't cut into the rim.

some GTS rims are all flogged out because people use HK and earlier wheel nuts with a steeper base.

Originals are different part numbers. Not sure what is different, maybe just paint V chrome?

was the 15 inch alloy commdore rim (SL/E) called a N67 rim, or N66 rim?.

i wonder if it shares the same part number, and if it has a metric equivalent.?
    cheers

N67 was always the alloy wheel option from LH Torana through to WB. On LH-LX it was a 13x5.5 ROH jelly bean. On HZ and WB it is the one you see on SL/E. On Commodore it was the PH9 wheel. Not sure about UC and Gemini although I do remember seeing the options list that made up an XX7 Gemini and I think it was just N67 rims and cloth trim.
There are others available in HJ-WB too: N71 wire spoke wheel (I think just HZ and WB) plus the PE1 polycast (HJ-HZ) and also the PC1 rim on HQ-HX (6" rim).

Then the wheel nut pictured above is not an N67 wheel nut. The wheel nut pictured above is for steel wheels, not alloy wheels. Looks like a standard Hj-HZ GTS wheel nut to me!!!!!

Original HJ GTS wheel nut (my pictures). I'm with Absinth, the one pictured at the top of the thread is a steel wheel nut of some description - mainly due to the chamfer on it. Was it the HX-Z N66 nut that that was slightly longer than the earlier HQ-J N66 nut? Greg?

    Regards,

    Dave.
