HQ ute from NEWCASTLE

any one from NSW know this ute? Really solid rust free 7 / 73 HQ ute.
originally 6 cylinder ute L20 M40 G95 (3.36 LSD)
apparently it came from Newcaslte. (the NSW rego plate is in the pic from the rear)

SHould make a good HZ sandman replica, the british racing green is close to Malachite or Jade green

has a very fresh mild - warm 308 roller rockered, cain manifold, extractors , new 650 spreadbore holley and Blue motor ignition and tricked up T350 and stall.... and power steer.

i had to buy it, price was too good to resist.

If they went to the trouble of changing the cowl wouldnt you change the dash sheet metal... or at least cough up for a GTS dash not just the Taxi guages.

Are you going to get rid of the WB bulls@#t and the rear bar?

WB taillights and rear bumper are going for standard ones.

will get some GTS mirrors and i already have a HZ spoiler for it too when it goes to my panel beater mate to get tailgate done. Also buttons from button top tarp will be done at the same time.
So about $1000 @ the panel shop to doll it up a bit.

I have a HQ GTS dash in shed , but i dont have time for that so taxi pak will stray for now

14 x 8 cheviots are going for GTS rims which i have here also.

the cowl is all HJ -Z and been done properly so twin headlight will stay, rather than changing back to HQ.

Just want to keep it on the road for now.
