Just do it. It's not that hard to put in an injected 304 without doing anything that isn't easily reversible. There are plenty of original restored ones around , make it so you can use it the way you want. I'm going to put cargo drawers in the back of mine so I can use it to carry all my tools for work.
Mine has big roll out drawer as I too were going to use it for work.20-09-09_2159.jpg20-09-09_2200.jpg

Great score mate!! As play said do to it what you want not what all the rivet counters on here say you should do.
Keep all the original stuff stored safely for later on!!
Hope to see you on the road one day!!

[/COLOR]Cut the roof off it and make it into something useful that looks good as well..... too many same old panel vans around.
Hahaha while I could be persuaded to put an efi v8 in it (or at least upgrade to a 308), I think I'll keep the roof on it.
These are the mirrors on it, didn't even notice they don't match. Oops...
And the worst of the visible rust in it.
Usual places to rust I imagine?
All I know at the moment is I'm having fun driving it around, and that's what it's all about isn't it.

Another question, is this the factory locking type filler cap?
You paid that much with RUST!!!
I'm felling charitable, i'll give you what you paid for it.
Geez i'm a nice bloke.
Gaz.
Might have to pass on that mate. But thanks anyway
so many people make the same mistake ,they see some rust coming through and they rub it back and spray a bit of primer on it ,That grey primer is not water proof so within a few months its rusty again !
