    The "Daydreamer" Van

Was having a beer with some mates and talking of old times.
We remembered one of our mates had an old BnS van called the Daydreamer, in her day she would have been the bomb. She had a island theme painted on her sides and palm trees painted on the inside a pillars
On the door handles she had her name engraved.
On the roof would have been about 300 names written in permanent marker, story goes in the 70s and 80s at the van shows you were alowd to write your name on the roof.
Does anyone remember this or used to own this van?

Bit of Australian history just going to rote.

Very rarely is it the builder how lets this happen.
The builder sells the Van once the family comes along and they can't all fit in or isn't enough time to dedicate to the Van or events.

Van gets sold to someone with no real appreciation to the work involved (yet claims they built it, after installing a set of spark plugs from K-Mart) and treat it like the daily work hack and party machine and starts looking tatty. Loses license, and because of this has no job and still owes a bucket load on the loan to buy the thing.

Sells it to the only offer and it's all down hill from there sadly.

Yeah mate, I've lived it and watched some of my cars and Vans that I sold on turn to rubbish in a matter of months.
Big dollar interior covered in cigarette burns within 2 days of being sold. Breaks your heart.

Maybe this is why I still own my Black HT Van that I purchased in 1983? I couldn't bare to see it again if I let it go.

Anyway, we can't control the world!

you'd give an arm and a leg for those rear 1/4's, canopy and top gate!

That's the van, it had a standard front on it when I knew it, by the time my mate got it the bog had all cracked up and the paint was going bad, the boys took it to a race day at Warren I think where they blew a radiator hose, licenses got lost and a lot of piss was consumed the van was left there unill we could get a trailer to o back and pick her up when word come back someone had stolen it and stripped it to the shell in the last photo.
