Sound insulation

Has anyone used sound insulation before, talking about the peel and stick type DYNAMAT etcview on the market, have a Hiace Van which I would like to cut the road noise down on and also considering putting some in the Sandman, was a story in the latest Street Machine and a guy put it in his EJ sedan (along with new car audio) and gave it a glowing thumbs up for reducing road noise, also believe some acting as a heat shield as well.

I have not used it yet, I think you can check with mook I reckon he has it in his van.
