A question for the forum would repro upper tailgate handles be worth $195.00 to $225.00

Handle with keys and barrel lock , we can make the chrome trim if needed

They are pretty rare as I have just found out as I need one and can't find one, price is a bit steep but I guess it's a fair bit of work to make one.

Maybe make the thread a poll asking people if they would buy one. It would be handy if we could see what we would be buying in comparison to a NOS handle....just a thought

The price is the killer on this one I think Les..... Understand the price. But i think many will try to find second hand. But at the same time you cant sell them for free...

But really, if ya need one ya need one. I do, as I have 3 that all dont work. How much does it cost to get a locksmith to rebuild one for you? rare spares one would prob be a worthwhile investment... A working lock is rocking horse shit material so surely there'd be a market....?

I think it would be a great item. Even better if you could buy it keyed alike with a new set of locks.. Save a lot of money then. What does I cost to re crome the handle? Plus lock smith to fix up the buggered old lock. I would defiantly pay that if I hadn't already found a nos handle.
