you.
Obviously you're not!! Go and get a quote from Dash Original or similar to restore one and add the cost of buying a restorable fascia.

If you PM Blocker and ask nicely he might tell you how much he paid to have his HJ fascia restored....

Or you can just make do with the much cheaper $225.00 faulty Rare Spares reproduction.......

My opinion is the price is reasonable. Remember this is a late HJ so it is not a silver fascia it also has the radio hole is complete (unmolested). Which is impossible to find unless it is NOS.

Also the HJ is not the same as the rare spares one which is modelled on the HZ fascia.

As per Blocker 's post Glacier the later ones have a moulded raised area for the RTS badge which isn't in the earlier moulding. The HJ-X ones are very difficult to come by in any sort of reasonable condition that makes them easily useable/repairable.

I'd hate to think how many hours Absinth spends on these things to get the results he is pleased with. I've repaired and restored a few dashes for myself and a very good mate(taught myself to plastic weld ABS plastic) and reckon Absinth is not making anything out of them even at that price for the time spent on them to get them to that standard.

    Regards,

    Dave.

Just as a comparison, see if you can find historical Ebay sales of HOS HQ-HX GTS fascias (as these are basically that good). The last HQ one I saw sold for well over $1000. I think it was even over $1500.

This is a restored part aimed at the collector market, not a replacement part aimed at the daily driver.

Here is a great historical thread about the fascias. Worth reading through it!

Dont know where these prices are coming from but over here you can get a fully restored gts dash to suit hz that includes all gauges recaliberated and wound back to zero dash facia restored and a crashpad for$ 1500.00 thats exchange for your dash seems like a good deal
