    Windscreen moulding clips help

    Holden gurus help
Ok before I drill holes in my nice paint just thought I'd ask.its nearly time to put the window in and since I have replaced the cowl panels I have no lugs for the moulding clips and I didn't take note of where they were as there was nothing there ha ha. So I got this kit from rare spares and it has screws with little rubbers on the end like this

And two different clips I guess maybe go on the corner like this

Or do they go on the top corner, so all I've done is roughly space them judging by how many clips I have.
Does this look right or further around the corner? A picture would be even better if anyone has one.
    Cheers
    Ben

You would want to make sure those pins seal up well.

the small ones are for the corners ,if you try to put the large ones there they wont fit ,the screws are for the side trim look inside the pillar and there should be holes i have just had windows fitted to my HQ coupe and i only used the small ones on the rear .hope that helps ,you also need to know where to drill the holes or your stainless trim will be to high or to low

Maybe forget the trim clips as drilling holes in your new plenum is sure to promote rust in the future. Use sikaflex or similar to stick the trim on. Then its removable and easy to get to sit correctly and just as good as the clips. just a thought.

Bugger ah well I guess I will put a dab of sikaflex around each one and hope for the best, then fix the rust again in a couple a years lol.i recon your right wbute that all the rust starts at the clips.
Problem being is you can only really put the mouldings on once and if you try take them off you scratch the paint so even if your just getting a window replaced chances are the windscreen dude will scratch it and then it will RUST.
It's a very bad design to start with the way leaves and water just sit in there.
All good tho I guess it took 30 years to get how it was
    Cheers

there is a tool to put under the stainless strip that lifts the clip up so you dont scratch the paint, and if you put a dab of grease or even vasoline on the clip before you press the stainless strip on you wont have to force it and damage the stainless .
