Hi guys, just need a little help with the colour of my HJ Sandman roof lining, my car is a 19v trim but when i purchased the car the roof lining had been removed. I have been told it should be a tan colour but not sure as the rest of the trim is black. Any help would be great.

From what I've seen, Early HJ up to about October 1975 had dove grey headling and sun visors then after that they changed to chamois (light tannish white colour).
It depends upon the build date as stated above.
Its 5th month 1976. So i'm assuming it would be chamois then? Not black? Is this right?
Yes, chamois being 1976 build. There appears to have been no optional headlining on HJ-HZ Holden/Belmont luxury level vehicles, only on Kingswood or vehicles fitted with Kingswood trim (ie HX-HZ Sandman or NZ destined HX-HZ Holden utes). So 19V in HJ got Dove Grey or Chamois. Funny thing is 18V on HJ Kingswood got black headlining standard with Dove Grey (later Chamois) as the neutral option.

I have a sample of Dove Grey in the shed somewhere, anyone want a photo uploaded?
So are the inside front window pillar trims, the door pinchweld, and the trim down the side pillars where the seatbelts bolt to, are they black or chamois too? Or black to match the 19v trim?
For my HJ 19v this is what I have;
A pillar is black
Pinchweld black
Seat belt area trim dove grey
